So I have some good news, some even better news, some more good news and some terrible news.
What shall I start with?
Hmmm...
The terrible first?
So the terribly, horrible news is that we are already half way through our crazy adventure. Yes we are a few days away from hitting the 3 month mark and have come to realise that 6 months is no where near long enough to see everything!
The good news?
Jessica has landed a job! Woohooo!! On Monday she will officially be a nanny for an agency called SuperMums. One day she too hopes to be a super mum. Not for a while though.
The other good news?
We successfully paid the rent in time the other day which made us feel very comfortable knowing that we have another month secure.
The even better news?
The other day Jess and I emailed our travel agent back home and are trying to get our return flight extended for another couple of weeks. At the moment the plan is to work until the first week of June and then take a big tour around the rest of Europe OR go on a month sailing trip around the Greek Islands... which sounds a little luxurious. Anyway we can't decide at the moment so will have to see how saving goes! But that is what we are looking forward to at the moment and it makes work that little bit more enjoyable haha!
Since writing all of that, there has been some even more fantastic news!
The sun was out yesterday and the day before!! It was so sunny that Jess and I decided to go for a picnic before I started work!
HELLOOOOO SUNSHINE!! It wasn't until it came out that we realised how much we really missed the weather back home! Ugh it was beautiful! Got to a scorching 15-18 or so degrees and yes the jumpers and scarves came off too (not in this photo but afterwards). Tshirt weather!! In the sun that is.. Not in the shade... Haha!
'Twas very bright. Please excuse the lack of smiles, we were overwhelmed by the vitamin D bombarding every inch of our faces and eyeballs. It was great!
Um also one more thing..
These photos were taken at about 7:30-8:00pm..
Our already confused body clocks are now even more befuddled by the sun's recent, late night, partying behaviour. Can it please go down a little earlier? Due to this late sunshine business, bedtime is usually 1:30 am now. If we are lucky!
Jess and I are living pretty comfortably at the moment, it's very cruisey. While Jess waits to start work she has been looking up tour options and travel plans and is sorting out most of our plans for June. (We honestly would not have left Australia if it wasn't for all her hardwork and planning!) I work most days so it's great to spend time together when we get the chance. On the weekend we went to the cinemas to see Noah which we thought was perdy awesome, Russell Crowe was not a favourite by the end.. How could he!? But it was a cool spin on the story and the effects and such were fantastic... I think at least. Jess is not here right now so she may think differently. I'll ask her when she gets back from her midnight snack. Oh my goodness! The popcorn here is bloody expensive! £7.95 for a drink and some popcorn... I swear it's cheaper back home!
Anyway that's about it for this week!
If the weather is good on Friday we are going to take a day trip to the beach, so fingers crossed for sunshine :D
I'll end on a nice shot of some of the daffodils that shoot up around the meadows.
Missing you all so much and can't wait to see you soon. Lots and lots of love,
Jess and Jaz
Xoxoxo

So pleased for you that you have some sunshine!!!! Looks strange to see you shading your eyes :) Aren't the daffodils lovely the way they just spring up? So happy Jess has her job. Your plans sound wonderful - save hard and go for it!!! Let me know if the beach is just like the beaches back here (ha ha ha). The twilight is strange isn't it? I thought it was so weird being so light so late at night. Work hard, save hard, and make the most of your time there and then the tripping (or sailing) around at the end. Must admit, sailing around the greek islands does sound rather posh!!!! Love to you both. Grandmaa xoxo
