Jess and I are running away to Europe.. but we will be back in 6 months so don't miss us too much.
As mature adults we are more than capable of budgeting and planning accommodation for the whole trip, however, we decided to wing it and go without much of a plan. Why? we will never know! But with Hamish and Andy as our role models how can we possibly go wrong?
We hope you enjoy seeing the pictures that we post, reading about the crazy adventures we have and snickering at our misfortunes that we will encounter along the way. It is a big step in our lives and a journey that will help us discover the true meaning of being independent. Don't worry about us too much though, I am confident that Jess will be able to take great care of us both.

Back to the Hostel

Yesterday Jess and moved out of our shared flat and back into Castle Rock Hostel.
We had to take our big bags to the hostel first and then come back for our smaller ones... Lots of bags... Oh dear
The good news is that we got our deposit back for being such fantastic tenants (hehe), and now have a bit more money to spend on our trip! Woohoo!! Also our German neighbourino, Alex, was moving out too so he came and knocked on our door before we left and said his Aufviedersehens. Er war sehr freundlich. Guten bye Alex!

So it's back to communal toilets and showers and sharing a room with 6 other people. The girls in our dorm last night were super cool though and it was great to talk to them about their travelling experiences. One girl, from Canada, has been travelling all over Europe since January by herself!! I could not have lasted a week without Jess on this trip so I don't know how she has done it!

One thing that I will really miss about our little flat is the iron. Luckily we brought a straightener along, it does the job pretty well haha!

Last night, due to the sheer excitement we had from moving out (laziness), Jess and I treated ourself to some Maccas. It has been a very long time. 2 months phwaarr! It was greasy and it was good.

Look at the beautiful city that we live in! Ahhh it's so pretty! We love it so much here!!!

... Jess looks alright too.. Hehe ❤️

On the way home we stopped by the castle to have a late night gander at the gates. Ugh it's huge! We will make it in there before we leave! Don't worry!

Today Jess is at her first nannying job! Yaaaaay!! Not too sure where or for who but will find out in the morning! I'm working late tonight so am just stuffing around until I have to go in.

Only 3 weeks left until we set out on our next big adventure!! We are so excited but at the same time we can't believe how quickly the past 4 months have gone. It's insane!

Sending all our love back home!!
Miss you all xoxoxooxoxoxox

  1. Well done girls on getting your deposit back and getting yourselves moved into the Hostel. Glad the girls you shared with are nice and I am sure they were able to give you a few tips on travelling round Europe. I am excited for you - only three weeks before your next adventure - and it sounds amazing. So glad Jess has started working - hope she enjoys it. How quickly this time has gone!!!!! In some ways it only seems like yesterday when we were all crying at the airport and in other ways it seems years since we have been able to give you a really, truly hug :) So happy that you love Edinburgh and do make sure you get to the castle before you leave. Lots of love to you both. Grandmaa xoxoxo
