Jess and I are running away to Europe.. but we will be back in 6 months so don't miss us too much.
As mature adults we are more than capable of budgeting and planning accommodation for the whole trip, however, we decided to wing it and go without much of a plan. Why? we will never know! But with Hamish and Andy as our role models how can we possibly go wrong?
We hope you enjoy seeing the pictures that we post, reading about the crazy adventures we have and snickering at our misfortunes that we will encounter along the way. It is a big step in our lives and a journey that will help us discover the true meaning of being independent. Don't worry about us too much though, I am confident that Jess will be able to take great care of us both.

Jess and Jaz - Les Definitely Not Miserables

Today was HUGE!!

To kick off our morning we caught the tube to London Bridge. Except when we got off we realised that we may have gotten off a stop too early...
There was a lovely monument closer to us though so why not get a photo with it?

After a surprisingly short walk we made it to the Tower of London and London Bridge itself.

These lions were prowling round the front of the London Tower. Can you believe they are made of chicken wire?
Jess and I fell in love with the old brick road that ran along next to the Tower. Jess wondered what it would be like to walk along it in heels. People have probably died trying.

The London Tower is right next to the London Bridge which I think might actually be called the Tower Bridge but I'd prefer to call it London Bridge because it reminds me of that old nursery rhyme about London Bridge falling down and just makes it all that bit more magical.
We did the classic touristy thing and walked across it.
No it did not fall down.

After our city adventures we caught the bus a little way out of town to a place called Hampstead Heath. It was so beautiful!
It just seemed so enchanted, like we were walking though the Forbidden Forrest at Hogwarts or walking the paths paths that Elizabeth Bennett would have walked along in Pride and Prejudice!
Ah it was so beautiful. A little muddy, but definitely worth it!

This swan amused us for a good 5 minutes. He would just sit there with his bottom facing us for ages at a time. There must have been some yummy slime down there, or he just didn't want his photo taken.
Hehe look at his bottom!

Jess and I got lunch to eat while taking in the views.
Biggest cookie I've ever eaten!
Jess was very unlucky and dropped half of her scone in the mud.. :(
She was understandably upset and proceeded to curse the mud for being so bloody greedy.

After arriving back at our hostel we made ourselves look nice and went to see Les Miserables. It was incredible! We weren't allowed to photograph anything in the theatre but we like to live life on the edge.
Our tickets were super cheap so we got the backseat but we still got to see everything and enjoyed it thoroughly. The performers were amazing and all had voices that made shivers run up your spine! (Good shivers.. Not nails on a chalk board shivers)

Sorry for the late post by the way was a big day and we were so tired. We didn't even shower.. Gross. Luckily we will be off to Bath in the morning!
